Default Gassendi crater with GStarEx2

Hello again members,
Just finished processing the avi
of the crater Gassendi. Another
image that I think is worth keeping
in my moon folder that i have started.
Again please feel free to comment as
i am eager to know how my images
compare with some of the more experienced
astrophotographers out there.
Cheers
George

George another nice one but I still think you're missing out in the highlights. Cut back on your contrast and aim for a fuller grey-scale. The pics IMHO are too stark and lack the mid-tonal ranges. Have a look a Massoid's video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7dbC_...ature=youtu.be

Default Gassendi crater

Hi Robert,
Thanks for the information.
Good to hear that the images can be
improved. I'll do more experimenting
with the camera settings after checking
out the link you posted, afterall that's
the only way to learn.
Cheers
George
