I got my scope on Sat. It was assembled in about 1 hour there is no trick to assembly. It is pretty straight forward. I was disappointed because there was no manual or assembly instructions. He Hex keys provided for assembly are made of fairly soft material. This caused a problem when screwing the wood screws in that help hold the backboard in place. The recess in the screws is very shallow therefore the hex key slips very easily. I had a set of keys of a harder material that I used after the key supplied started to slip.
I got out on Sun. nite to view. The electronics on the scope worked well. Follow the prompts to get to the stage where you choose the star alignment. I did a two star alignment. You have to point the scope to the North, pick your first star use the control to slew to and center it. When this is done hit enter. The control will pick the next star and slew to it. All you have to do is center it and away you go. The tracking is very good for visual usage, I let it track on m13 for 20 minutes & I didn't notice any movement in the eyepiece. Every thing that I chose to look at was in the same edge of the eye piece. I could not get the scope level so that probably accounts for that. Overall this scope is what I expected. My previous scope was also a 10", so the views where the same. I would recommend this scope to anyone who is thinking about getting one. That is my experience with it so far.

Sounds like a great scope - hoping to get a 10" myself some day.

The 10" is at the upper end of portability for me.

Glad for you, Herb. Now you don't have to hurry so much when changing eyepieces at high power. So, what did you do with your old 10"?
Good talking to you last night (I finally got the scope out there and did alright).

Then you would need a cherry picker to keep up with it.
